In the face of the threat of drones, especially small drones, drone countermeasures technology is also rapidly improving, whether in the field of border defense, anti-terrorism, or in airports, government agencies, important venues and other places have played an important role.

At present, UAV countermeasures mainly adopt four methods, of which interference blocking is the most important means, which can force the UAV to return or land automatically by interfering with the communication or hardware of the UAV. The other three methods are decoy control, interception capture, and direct destruction.

Interference blocking

(1) Electromagnetic interference

Electromagnetic interference can effectively block the communication between the UAV and the control station, cut off the remote control signal of the UAV and the data transmission, the image transmission signal, to achieve the purpose of forced landing or driving away the UAV. Electromagnetic interference directional or omnidirectional interference, effectively handle multiple unmanned aerial vehicles within the operating distance.

(2) Navigation signal interference

The UAV generally uses the satellite navigation and positioning system to locate itself, and the implementation of navigation signal interference can cause the UAV to be unable to accurately locate, thus affecting the flight control system of the UAV and restricting the flight of the UAV.

(3) Acoustic interference

This is an expensive form of interference. The UAV maintains its own balance through the feedback information and control system of the gyroscope. Acoustic interference can emit sound waves at the same frequency as the gyroscope's sound waves, causing them to resonate and make the gyroscope on the drone not work properly.

Decoy control

(1) Navigation signal decoy

By sending false navigation satellite signals to "trick and confuse" the drone, making it think that its target is a false location preset by the system. Because the satellite navigation signal received by the UAV is weak, the system only needs a small transmission power to achieve the decoy effect of the UAV.

(2) Radio signal hijacking

This way is to first crack the communication protocol of the drone signal, and then send a stronger control signal to the drone, so as to control the drone.

Interception acquisition
Intercept the capture from the ground or from the air, mainly by firing guns and shooting nets, or using large drones to catch small drones, in addition to training eagles to capture drones and take them to designated areas.

Direct destruction
Missiles, laser weapons, microwave weapons, etc. can be used to attack drones. However, these methods have more restrictions and will lead to the fall of the drone. Therefore, the direct destruction method is suitable for use in suburban and wild environments, but not suitable for urban environments.
